Abstract:The willow weaving process in the Huaihe River Basin is a traditional folk handicraft in China.As anational intangible cultural heritage,it contai nsrich regional folk cultural characteristics.Its rise and development were affected by natural and human factors.The fertile soil,abundant water resources,and suitable climate provided natural conditions for itsrise;and developed a gricultural production and superblevel of manualskillsprovided atechnical basis for its development. Under the influence of these two factors,the willow weaving process can rise,develop,and evolve in the Huaihe River Basin.The social functions and cultural connotations it carries also gradually develop and change with the progress of human society.The existing archaeological findings and lit-erature data are combined to trace the cause and development history of the willow weaving process in the Huaihe River Basin,inter pret its historical and cultural connotation,deconstruct the types and characteristics of its weaving process,and propose the livinginheritance model in tegrated with“inheritance,innovation and development”based on the current situation and problems of the willow weaving processinthe Huaihe RiverBasin,inorder to promote the sustainable development of willow weaving process in the Huaihe River Basin,in heritnon-heritage culture,and carry forward the craftsmanship spirit.
