Abstract:The work aims to analyze, understand and utilize the architectural thought of deconstructionism as an approach and method of design innovation, so that the thought is of an innovative and forward-looking contribution and guidance to the theoretical development and practice of contemporary exhibition space design. The deconstructive architectural concept is summarized in terms of spatial and temporal dimensions by means of literature review and case analysis. Combined with analysis of the ideas and methods of deconstructivists and their works, the application and expression of deconstructionism in contemporary exhibition design are further expounded, so as to broaden and enrich innovative approaches of exhibition design. Deconstructionism has given design a unique soul. Its design ideas can be found in architecture, landscape, interior space, clothing, products and many other domains of design. It also features a complete and distinct theoretical and practical system. Influenced by the deconstructive architectural concept, contemporary exhibition designs have been found narrative in construction, continuous in space, and interesting in exhibition, which are entirely different from people’s general knowledge of exhibition design and have further contributed to the development of contemporary exhibition design as well.
