Abstract:The visual design of he 32nd Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games inherits the innovative design spirit of the Tokyo 1964 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Based on the static icon design, dynamic icons are used to identify the information of the sports for the first time. At different stages of the dynamic changes of icons, the animation effects are presented through changes of size, shades, extension and perspective. The dynamic icons follow the movement rules of animation and interpret the authentic movements of the sports without losing the formal features and rhythmic beauty of the static models. The dynamic icon design for the sports of the 32nd Tokyo Olympic Games realizes interdisciplinary innovation that integrates graphic design language and animation design concept and takes the lead in exploring a new paradigm of visual communication against the background of a new media era, which is of considerable research significance and learning value.
