Abstract:The work aims to focus on the study of clothing patterns in the national culture of the Pumi and develop a series of cultural and creative products of the Pumi based on the design of IP characters and then clarify the formation and development process of the clothing pattern and study the uniqueness of the traditional clothing pattern retained in the environment of mixed ethnicity and the influence brought by other ethnic minorities such as Bai, Naxi, and Tibetan during the development. Through the detailed analysis on the materials related to the headwear, tops, lower skirts and decorations of the Pumi costumes, the artistic characteristics are analyzed from the aspects of style, color matching and decoration techniques. Combined with the aesthetics value, innovation form, craftsmanship and concept of tradition and modernity in the design of the IP character, redesign and practice were carried out after deconstruction to design the symbolic and popular cultural and creative products based on the Pumi. At the same time, national costumes can reflect the national culture, unique style and development track. By combining Pumi traditional culture with modern popular design elements, modern design products are endowed with strong and solid national cultural and artistic attributes to become more competitive. Cultural and creative design products are optimized to make national cultural transmission channels diversified, and guide market consumers to actively understand Chinese national traditional culture.
