Abstract:With the support of new media such as metaverse, the use of avatars to enter digital spaces has become a new form of interactive form, and this paper discusses the design elements and practice methods for constructing such interactive form. This paper analyzes the current design theories and methods applicable to digital spaces based on the current technical implementation of avatars, and summarizes the design elements for avatars such as “perspective”, "embodiment" and "locality", that are the design elements, and their using in interactive design in the context of case studies. The design has also been practiced at large exhibitions such as the Shenzhen Cultural Fair and the Shanghai Education Fair. Combined with the characteristics of the venue space, the integrated use of design methods in new media forms facilitates better engagement of users in interactive experiences. This study also provides design thinking that can be drawn upon for digital interactive products.
