Abstract:The work aims to explore the impact and importance of layout design in the construction of instruction design and evaluation model. At present, the specifications and rules of drug instructions issued in China have well stipulated the content, but most of manufacturers just meet the rigid requirements and only provide the required content information without focusing on the reading experience. Designing the drug instructions easy to understand and inclusive of age and cultural levels has become the mainstream practice direction. With cognitive human factors engineering as a guide, an evaluation model is attempted based on the SMIP model of information recognition and combined with previous experiments in the cognitive field. Based on the analysis and discussion of the problem, an evaluation model of drug instructions is constructed to further elaborate and study the design guidelines of drug instructions from the perspectives of both cognitive experts and cognitive novices. With the evaluation model of drug instructions as a starting point, the drug instructions are divided into six main parts in the order of reading, and for each part, the design is optimized in order to promote the integration of medical expertise into life from a design perspective, ultimately achieving the perfect mission of design for a better life.
