Abstract:The archaeological discovery in Sanxingdui showcases the splendid ancient Shu culture and provides us with rich research materials to understand the ancient Shu people's clothing culture system. To supplement the lack of practical research on the clothing culture of Sanxingdui, and further promote the dissemination of Sanxingdui culture in the digital context, this work takes the figures of the ancient Shu State in the late Shang Dynasty as the research object, the Sanxingdui Bronze Statue Group as the basic material, and the related cultural relics unearthed from other tombs at the same time as a supplement. Compared with previous restoration cases, this work makes an in-depth analysis of the clothing shape, material, color, and decoration technology of the ancient Shu people. And based on the research results, combined with the social history background, identity background, and specific activities of the restored figures, the costumes of two ancient Shu figures, the high priest and clan chief, were restored. This restoration reproduces the clothing used in ancient Shu ritual activities during the late Shang Dynasty through digital means. It fills a relatively blank space in the study of clothing restoration for a long time, and provides a basic method reference for the study of clothing restoration in the same period.
