Abstract:In order to sort out the research development trend of wearable product design, the current situation and research hotspots of wearable product design at home and abroad in the past 20 years were systematically sorted out and analyzed from the perspective of bibliometric visualization. At the same time, the limitations of wearable product design research and the future development direction were clarified. With the journal literature related to wearable product design in CNKI and WOS databases from 2002-2022 as the research data source, the work analyzed the overview and hotspots of wearable product design research at home and abroad through knowledge mapping, and proposed the future development trend. China and the United States are the main forces of wearable product design research, among which universities such as University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and Georgia Institute of Technology are the main research institutions; human-computer interaction, interaction design, and user experience are the important directions of wearable product design research at home and abroad; medical recreation and aging-friendly design of wearable products will be a topic of continuous attention for scholars and policy makers. The research history of wearable product design at home and abroad from 2002 to 2022 can be divided into three phases: slow development period, rapid growth period, and slowing down period, and the number of literature published is on an overall upward trend; the heat of domestic research and the frequency of publication are higher than those of foreign countries. The research in the field of human-computer interaction is especially prominent. The Chinese research focuses on heat physiotherapy, medical monitoring system, human body wireless sensor network, and intelligent product design mode; while the foreign research focuses on physiological data monitoring, e-textiles and sensor network. Taking an overview of the current research status and trends, this paper discusses the human-oriented intelligent form, multidisciplinary research and design strategies for the aging population, and puts forward the new development trend of wearable product design.
