Abstract:Through the high coupling of digital information and physical space, the mixed reality design makes cultural relics "live", breaks through the leap of time and space, and achieves the dialogue and understanding between people and culture. It is an effective path for the living inheritance of the cultural heritage of ancient buildings along the Silk Road in China. This study aims to focus on the relationship of similarities and differences between mixed reality art and traditional exhibition space art, explore the physical environment of virtual media and the cultural heritage of ancient buildings along the Silk Road, and contemplate the integration and coexistence between virtual space and real space and time. In conclusion, mixed reality design can extend the rich cultural connotation of the ancient cultural heritage of the Silk Road, give it a more realistic audio-visual experience, make it more interactive, provide a new perspective and method for the living inheritance of the ancient cultural heritage of the Silk Road, and promote the process of public participation.
