Abstract:The Yi ethnic costume in Wuding, Yunnan vividly inherits and showcases the profound heritage and unique style of Yi culture, and is also a model of ethnic cultural exchange, mutual learning, and integration. Based on relevant literature and field investigations, this study takes the traditional women's costume of the Yi ethnic group in Wuding County, Yunnan Province as the research object, and analyzes it from the aspects of cultural background, costume form, pattern decoration, and costume craftsmanship, with focuses on exploring the influence of ethnic cultural integration on the costume of the Yi ethnic group in Wuding under the social changes in Yunnan during the Qing Dynasty. The costume of the Yi ethnic group in Wuding, Yunnan enriches the culture of Yi costume through the sharing of structural forms, the exchange of decorative patterns, and the integration of craftsmanship and technology. It demonstrates the continuous convergence and exchange of costume as a cultural medium between the Southwest ethnic region and the outside world in terms of material and spiritual culture, and thus achieves profound cultural identity and sharing.
