Abstract:The work aims to explore the application value and method of symbols in experience design, and try to construct a symbol system model for experience design based on the social theory of landscape. Landscape is a medium that connects the mode of capital production with the audience, and it is constituted by the visual expression of images and patterns. The game series of Animal Crossing are analyzed to establish a unique sense of experience in visual, auditory, technical, marketing, design and other aspects through symbols. Based on Guy Debord's social theory of landscape, the causes of the phenomenon of "becoming widely known" formed by this product are analyzed. The social theory of the landscape is introduced into experience design, and the symbol system is constructed to better trigger users' emotional needs, improve experience, and promote communication and exchange, thus forming a virtual landscape and becoming an important medium for experience design.
